Easter Island (Rapa Nui) - The Easter Island is the world's most remotely populated island. The existence of the friendly Rapa Nui tribe on the island is as much a mystery as the origin of those famous stone heads.
Farellones/El Colorado - Chile is one of the best destinations for skiers. The El Colorado and Farellones ski resorts, with a total of 18 lifts and 22 runs from 2430m (7972ft) to 3333m (10935m) are amazing.
Parque Nacional Lauca - A huge natural park abound with herds of llama and alpaca, vizcachas (related to the chinchilla), and over 100 species of birds. The Parque Nacional Lauca holds one of the world's highest lakes at the foot of the dormant twin Payachata volcanos.
San Pedro de Atacama - A tiny colonial village amidst the Atacama that is the access point to the world’s highest geyser field at El Tatio. A visit to the village will give you an excellent view of the geysers, volcanoes, salt flats, and lakes of the northern Altiplano. The village boasts an exceptional archaeological museum and attractive 16th-century buildings. |
